Obsolescence Solutions for Process Controls and Protection Systems
Curtiss-Wright's I&C components provide nuclear power plants with a long-term maintenance solution for existing legacy systems. Most nuclear plant safety systems are analog systems built in the 70s and 80s. Since then, many of the original analog product lines used to support the analog safety systems have become obsolete. To solve this growing obsolescence challenge, Curtiss-Wright re-engineers replacement I&C components that maintain fit, form, and function of the original equipment.
Benefits
Replacement analog I&C components perform the same functions of the original equipment. Engineers and technicians already familiar with existing module functions only require training on new modules, rather than an entirely new system.
Curtiss-Wright's analog I&C products satisfy NQA-1 10CFR50 Appendix B program and 10CFR50:59 substitution requirements.
I&C modules are designed and manufactured to ensure that replacement components will fit in the same spaces and perform the same functions as the original products.
